PEOPLE

Our Mission

Since being founded in 2015, Mejuri has turned fine jewelry into an everyday occasion while working towards making a positive impact in our communities, the industry, and the world.
Because jewelry is an expression of self, and how you show up in the world should have no limits. That’s why we work with trusted suppliers across the globe, using high-quality, responsibly-sourced materials to create pieces meant to last a lifetime—that feel like you.

Inspire Confidence

By supporting women and non-binary people's access to skills through traditional or non-traditional education, we believe that they will have more power to design the life they want.

Spark Creativity

With innovation and creativity at the heart of every stage, all design is kept in-house and is sparked through insight, inspiration, cultural exchange, or personal experience.

Fuel Collaboration

Together, we want to start a chain reaction. Leaving a positive impact on the world, we know we are stronger as a pack.

SUSTAINABILITY

We believe that the concept of ‘fine jewelry’ goes beyond craftsmanship and style. It’s also about the responsible supply chain that sources our precious materials, and the respectful partnerships that help bring our jewelry to life.
At Bossa, our aim is to bring beauty into the world rather than take it away. Hence, why we believe in preserving the natural beauty of our planet for future generations to enjoy. We're proud Founding Partners and the exclusive jewelry sector partner of Regeneration, a revolutionary re-mining initiative dedicated to the rehabilitation of legacy mining sites and the restoration of surrounding natural environments.
We prioritize working with suppliers independently certified by recognized standards-setting organizations, with a focus on health and safety, human rights, fair labor, governance, and environmental protection.
We’re committed to expanding transparency about our trusted supplier networks, to help ensure we continue to create a positive impact through the manufacturing of our fine jewelry.

RESPONSIBLE MATERIAL SOURCING

We strike a balance between using recycled precious materials in our jewelry and using responsible, newly-mined materials that support and empower communities dependent on the jewelry industry. Recycled gold represents the largest area for positive impact across our supply chain.
95% Recycled Gold
92% Recycled Silver

Restoring the Environment

Hundreds of thousands of abandoned mines, deemed “legacy mines,” exist around the world. If left untreated, some legacy mines pollute sensitive watersheds, ecosystems, and native species.
Regeneration is a revolutionary new start-up that uses the re-mining and processing of waste from legacy mine sites to support rehabilitation activities and restore natural environments.

We’re tailoring our approach to supporting our people and communities to be more inclusive and action-oriented than ever.

Charitable Incentives

The purpose of our commitments is to create deep, long-standing relationships with communities and have a measurable impact over time.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)

We value having a diverse workforce and are committed to fostering a work culture where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Currently, our teams ethnicity breakdown as the following:
White
43%
Asian
25%
Hispanic
12%
Black
7%
Middle Eastern
3%
Indigenous
1%
Our internal culture is fostered through key listening programs that allow the entire organization to provide feedback on their employee experience.

Quarterly Engagement Surveys

Four times a year, we ask for feedback from our employees through anonymous engagement surveys. We’ve maintained over 75% engagement* on these surveys since introducing them in 2019, and we continue to see high ratings in areas like strong management, diversity and belonging, company purpose, and role expectations.

Tailored Guidance

Through yearly offsites, leadership coaching, and 360 performance reviews twice a year, we aim to provide clear, actionable feedback and development so our team members can continue growing into new opportunities.

Bossa ID

Formed in 2020, Bossa ID is an employee-led committee aimed at acknowledging, celebrating, and educating about diversity in all its forms. The committee supports the company in running internal special events and communications throughout the year, as well as informing our retail stores of opportunities to bring awareness to diversity.
